Open source software is what every developer in this world has been waiting to contribute for and use. It allows co-developers to use the software prepared by his peer in this software world and if required modify the same as and where required to match his requirements. Some of the opensource software I use for my development are:
Ant is a software tool written in Java by Apache Group used for automating software build processes. Its a simple tool which uses XML as its configuration file unlike many other pre-existing make tools.
Jakarta Struts is an open-source framework for developing J2EE web applications. It uses and extends the Java Servlet API to encourage developers to adopt an MVC architecture.
JUnit An open source Java testing framework used to write and run repeatable tests.
Bugzilla is a general-purpose computer bug-tracking tool developed and used by the Mozilla organization.
